Congruences Of Social Realities Presented In Paulo Coelho’s Works With United Kingdom’s In Late Twentieth Until Early Twenty-First Century

This research focuses on social realities and socio-cultural values in United Kingdom’s readers that presented by Coelho through his potrayal of his social realities in late twentieth until twenty-first century. The objectives of this thesis are describing the congruences and finding out cosio-cultural values with cultural studies approach and Cultural Sociology approach. In carrying out this analysis the following steps are involved: collecting, classifying, analyzing and concluding. Content analysis design is applied in this study to analyze 3 novels of Coelho and social realities in United Kingdoms. This research leads to conclusion that Coelho’s works achieve many achievement in United Kingdom because The social realities between his works and United Kingdom’s society are congruent and the socio-cultural values that portrayed can be accepted by United Kingdom’s readers.
