Many Indonesians started learning Chinese, but in the learning process, many people encountered some difficulties, one of them is the difficulty in learning the Chinese characters. If teachers teach Indonesian students by giving the whole Chinese characters directly, they would have found it very hard to learn and master it. There are three ways to teach Chinese characters, either by teaching strokes, by teaching Chinese characters’ parts, or teach the whole character directly. Therefore, researchers decided to analyze the Chinese Character at Widya Kartika University student term 3 Mandarin courses. Based on the results obtained by researchers there are still many faults in the understanding the Chinese Character, because of that researchers using an analyze of Chinese Character with Component and radicals.
