Analisa keefektivitasan Penggunaa metode Drill dan permainan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Mandarin untuk siswa kelas VIIC SMP Kristen Gloria 2 Surabaya

To fulfill the demand of communication in the era of globalization, nowadays the world of education is offering foreign languages program as one of the means in global communication. One of the language programs is Mandarin Language. In order to acquire Mandarin Language and its characters writing skills, an individual needs to be proficient in its pronunciation, tone and characters writing. In addition, to support the learning environment, an effective learning method is necessary in order to achieve the learning goals. Therefore, in this final thesis, the writer presents a research about the effectiveness of Drill Method and Games in supporting Mandarin Language teaching for students grade VII C in SMP Kristen Gloria Surabaya.
This research was conducted in SMP Kristen Gloria 2 Surabaya on the twenty two students of Class VII C using quantitative and qualitative approaches.
This research which applies Drill Method and Games shows the effective results of the Drill Method and Games in improving students’ abilities to acquire Mandarin Language skills. The improvements can be recognized through the success rate percentage and higher average grades from four evaluations that were executed during the research.
