ABSTRACT

It’s so important to learn Chinese language nowadays. Mastering it can make our job opportunities become wide opened. However, we can still encounter many kinds of errors in the process of using Chinese language. Based on the background stated above, author formulates several problems for this study, which is: how high is Indonesian students level in mastering Chinese modal particle? And what are the factors that effect Indonesian students to make mistakes. This analysis is made in order to analyze the students’ level of mastery and identify the factors that caused the error. While the research method used are qualitative and quantitative methods. After doing this research, the author found that indeed there are some students wto make mistakes in the use of modal particle. Therefore, the author also writes some suggestions about modal particle teaching which is expected to assist students in learning Chinese modal particle. The author hopes the teachers and students can pay more attention in teaching and learning and in mastering modal particle as well.
