Analisis kinerja keuangan berdasarkan rasio keuangan pada perusahaan advertising, printing, dan media yang listing di BEI
ABSTRACT
The rapid development of corporate advertising, printing and media urges companies to implement Knowledge Based Business. This method enables companies to innovate and thus improve their financial performance. To determine the level of financial performance, it is necessary to use financial ratios. Financial ratios will explain various aspects of financial performance, including liquidity, solvency, profitability, activity, and investment. Each of these ratios can explain whether or not the companies’ financial performanceis progressing or deteriorating.
This research shows that the liquidity of the companies are relatively high, except for PT Mahaka Media, Tbk which suffers a decreasing trend. The solvability of the three companies is sufficient enough to hold all short and long term liabilities. The profitability ratio of the three companies are increasing in 2012 along with the increasing profits. The activity ratio also shows improvements due to the use of working capital function. The investment ratio of each company shows a low EPS with the increase of its PER.
In conclusion, the financial performance of the three companies are good, as showed by the good balance of the five financial ratios. PT Media Nusantara Citra, Tbk has the best financial performance from the aspect of liquidity, solvability, profitability, activity and investment, followed by PT Fortune Indonesia and PT Mahaka Media, Tbk. It is suggested for the next research to give further explanations on the connections between company’s financial ratios and its financial performance to better explain the company’s financial performance in details.
