ABSTRACT
By using common size analysis we can see company's tendency from year to year basis and see some trends or movements, so that we can anticipate the risks and lessen the tendency of income reduction. Another thing that we can benefit by using common size analysis are measuring and also comparing company's performance from the previous year until the coming year to improve management's performance that was not optimal.
Based on the research,the finance performance of PT Pan Brothers an PT Ricky Putra Globalindo is quiet good if they are analysed with common size analysis,even though change happens every year. however, that change didn't show any significant change in 2009-2012, Like what happened to PT Pan Brothers Financial reports between 2009 -2012.It's said that there was an increase in balance, in 2008 the activa kept on increasing until it ended in 2012 by IDR 2,003,097,631,825,-. On the other hand the financial report of PT Ricky Putra Globalindo in 2009-2012 balance Showed that the activa increase nicely in 2009 eventhough In 2010 Its cash got lowered until almost twice. Factors wich made the cash decreaseed in 2010 was the Reduction of short-term loan.
In this common size analysis it's sure that it's easy to find an improvement or a reduction in each pos in the balance report and also profit-loss report. This thing happened because all of the report have been arranged become a good value in rupiahs or in year to year percentage.
