ABSTRACT
Financial ratio analysis is used to determine the condition of a company by calculating the financial statements contained in the balance sheet items and
income statement. This is the author's purpose for researching financial PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk and PT Mayora Indah Tbk using financial ratios years 2008-2012.
By using financial ratio analysis we can see the trend of the company from year to year and see a comparison, so that we can anticipate the risk to be prevented in the future and to reduce the likelihood of a decline in profit. Another thing that can be exploited by using financial ratio analysis is the ratio or describe
a relationship between a certain amount of consideration to another number, and by using tools such as ratio analysis will be able to explain or illustrate the
analyzer is about good or bad situation or position especially if a company's financial ratios are compared to the comparable ratios were used as standard and
also compare the performance of the company from the previous year to year thereafter to improve the performance of the previous sub-optimal management
becomes more optimal for the futPure.
Based on the research results of the financial performance of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk and PT Mayora Indah Tbk when analyzed with analysis of
financial ratios can be quite good, although there is a change every year. But these changes did not show a significant change in the year 2008-2012, as in PT
Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk financial reports between the years 2009-2012 is said to have increased on balance, in 2009 continued to increase until 2012. While
at PT Mayora Indah Tbk's financial statements between years 2009-2012 are in balance, in 2009 also experienced an improvement that could be considered good
in asset item.
